They can be harmed by some corals and stinging anemonesĀ and need live brine shrimp as a food source in the aquarium. The yellow seahorse comes in shades of grey, yellow, and rusty red. In the wild these fish live in slow running estuaries but to protect the species the seahorse are tank raised for the aquarium trade.
