The freshwater red devil crab is gathered in large colonies in the swampy regions of Indonesia. Red devil crabs are effective scavengers and not fully aquatic. In the aquarium the red devil will require a place to get out of the water. The red devil crab is also suited for a terrarium or paludarium. Red devils will leave fish alone and spend much of their time around rocks and other areas where food might accumulate.Ā
